QUESTION:

I am from Sri Lanka. I met an accident recently and my left eyesight went blind. Here in Sri Lanka, doctors informed me that my optic nerve got damaged and unable to do anything else. I shall be grateful if you kindly advise me to get my eyesight back.

ANSWER:

I am very sorry to hear about your accident and the damage it has caused. Unfortunately, there are no proven treatments for traumatic optic nerve damage. Lots of promising work being done in the lab but nothing yet for humans.
