QUESTION:
I have glaucoma and am totally blind in the right eye. I protect both eyes using lumigan eye drops. I am told by specialists here that glaucoma is incurable. My right eye is 100% dead. What’s your opinion?

ANSWER:
Dear P******,
Your doctors are unfortunately correct. There is no currently proven method of restoring vision lost from glaucoma. Research may change this in the future, but for now the best we can do is try and limit further loss of vision over time.
I am sorry I could not provide the answer you may have been hoping to hear.
